I met Sarah, the founder of Lucky Locks over 5 years ago. I immediately connected with her as a person and of course LOVED the brand she built and enjoyed getting sparkles. I bought in as a Partner in March of 2021 and knew the possibilities were endless — from building relationships in my own community, to a very lucrative income. My name is Torie and at this point, I am the youngest Partner of Lucky Locks. Every time someone asks me what my favorite color is, I always say SPARKLES! That is why when I was introduced to Lucky Locks I was obsessed! I would get as many sparkles as I possibly could almost every month. However, I never thought that I would become a brand partner of this company, but I am so glad I am. Most kids spend their graduation money on a new laptop or put it into savings. Not me! I bought into the Lucky Locks business and to this day consider it one of the best decisions I have made. I am known on campus as the “Sparkle Girl” and that is honestly one of my favorite nicknames. I have met so many amazing customers from around the nation because wherever I go, my sparkle box follows. I have sparkled in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota and am excited to add more states to my list. I had only been officially sparking for four months before Covid-19 hit. However, the community I built through this business was so amazing and supportive. If I was having a bad day while in quarantine, I could always count on my customers to put a smile on my face. When they see their new sparkles for the first time, their smile and excitement fills the room. I have no idea where I would be without Lucky Locks. It has taught me how to network, manage money, and given me an amazing community of customers. If you are contemplating if you should be a Partner, I would encourage you to go for it! There is not a day that I regret my decision to become a part of this company.

I met Lucky Locks founder, Sarah Collins while getting my first sparkles at my sister’s wedding in Portland, OR in 2018. Lucky Locks was the most unique addition to her wedding! As Sarah tied my sparkles, we visited briefly about the Partner Program which I was intrigued with right away. This opportunity offered the perfect social scenarios for me, being that I was a new mom, worked as a teacher part-time, and was CRAVING a social scene. Not only was this an incredible opportunity, but it provided time for my husband and daughter’s relationship to blossom.

I was definitely skeptical of myself, being that I didn’t have ANY business background. The on-boarding experience was so professional and easy. It was the perfect step-by-step guide to get started, and before I even knew it, I was running my own successful business! It was such an affordable start-up too. I cannot think of any comprehensive business that is this affordable to start. I was making a profit within just two months. Talk about WINNING!

There are so many remarkable things that my Lucky Locks business has brought to the surface of my life. One of my favorite things is my sense of community, which I didn’t even realize I was missing. But. I. was. I have made some incredible friends through Lucky Locks. I love doing local pop-ups and have secured some prime-time spots that LOVE and cherish hosting me! I didn’t think all this would happen in my first year. I have sparkled at events I never thought would come to surface, but being able to present professionally gave me so much confidence in collaborating with big brands, fashion shows, non-profits with impactful causes, ladies gatherings with incredible women, etc. There is an incredible feeling of empowerment that I have gained from this business as well. I mean, seriously!! I am a business owner and people are seeking me out daily. I still cannot believe its come this far in the time that it has.

I was so drawn to working with Sarah and her willingness to help me succeed. I never hesitated to call her (and still don’t) for anything. She is a kindred spirit and rarely in life do you find these connections. As a Partner of Lucky Locks, I am so grateful to feel as if I can use my creative side and work with hair (which I’ve always loved, but never wanted to be around the chemicals). This is truly the perfect balance for me! I love that it is not an MLM and I don’t have to pay someone for all of my hard work. I love that I have been protected within a 30 mile radius so that I had the space to grow my clientele. I just love this company. When I first started exploring Lucky Locks, I was drawn to how different they were presented from the "hair tinsel" that I knew of from YouTube videos. I thought, silk strands?! How exciting! I realized that no one in my hometown was offering anything this unique and high quality.

Being a part of this business has more than fulfilled my expectations of becoming a small business owner. I have been proud to have the opportunity to be a part of a woman-run company, be my own boss, and work toward empowering women of all ages and backgrounds to believe that they can reach their goals.

Since becoming a Partner of this company, I've done things that I would have never imagined doing — such as negotiating a contract with a media company… What?! I thought I was "just a mom” before, but now I learned that I am capable of financially supporting family, which has been especially important since my husband recently lost his job. 

Being a Sparkler also brings me personal fulfillment by connecting me with my community. I love meeting clients from all different walks of life, and listening to their stories.  So many people open up to me while they are being sparkled, and it can become a very personal and rewarding experience for both of us. It reminds me that we all have something in common and Lucky Locks seems to be a way to bring out the best in people and make them happy — myself included.

This is my first business venture but, working with Sarah, the founder of Lucky Locks just feels right. She is always available to jump on the phone, or text, or email to answer any questions I have. She has a great work ethic. Her vision of helping other women succeed, and bring magic to people's lives is so magical, and I'm proud to know her, and be a Lucky Locks partner.

I love being a Lucky Locks Partner! I have been running this business for awhile now, and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I wanted to make money doing something fun, low stress, and without need of a computer. It has definitely fulfilled my expectations and has provided in many ways. I've grown as a woman and business owner, and made many meaningful connections. It's the best of both worlds, the autonomy of owning a business, with the support of a boss business lady, Sarah! I enjoy sparkling because of the amazing humans I am able to meet, and the surprisingly deep conversations we are able to have. Something so fun has surprised me by also feeling so purposeful.
